But while playing the game I find myself thinking "let me get to the good part,fighting tons of monsters and shit" constantly, while trying to uncover the whole map of an area. Its sad,because I really love the combat and the depth this game offers. It takes ages to complete a playthrough,because areas just feel so bloated. The pacing just seems off,which was the same issue titan quest had. It feels like areas like "blood grove" or "gloomwald" are like 150% the size that they should be,so that it doesnt get frustrating running through it. On top of that the mob density is kinda low on some of the wider areas,which means you run around in a pretty empty area and try to cover as much ground as possible so that you dont miss anything important. Yes there are secret areas,but having to constantly go back and forth when entering an area that I dont know all the secrets yet is just frustrating. They are sooo open and unnecessarily convoluted in my opinion,that exploring them becomes such a chore. However after playing a lot of Diablo 2 over the last few years, I just get frustrated playing Grim Dawn when it comes to exploring the maps.
